Q VISA

Q1 VISA

Family members of Chinese citizens of Chinese citizens who apply for residence in China for family reunion, and foreigners with permanent residence in China family members, as well as those who apply for entry and residence for foster care and other reasons. (The visa period is generally 1-3 years, and a medical examination is required)

Q2 VISA

Relatives of Chinese citizens living in China and relatives of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence qualifications who go to China for a short-term visit (the visa period is generally not more than 180 days, no medical examination is required) to visit relatives

Q Visa:Reunion Residence Permit

The residence permit corresponding to the Q visa is the reunion residence permit. Family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandparents, grandchildren, grandchildren, and parents-in-law) of Chinese citizens applying for residence in China for family reunion, and foreigners with permanent residence in China Family members (spouse, parents, children, children's spouses, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, grandchildren, and spouse's parents), and those who apply for entry and residence for foster care and other reasons. (The visa period is generally 1-3 years, and a medical examination is required)

1. Original valid passport

2. Original copy of temporary accommodation registration form for overseas personnel

3. The original Physical Examination Record issued by the entry-exit inspection and quarantine department

4. Proof of kinship

5. Original letter of commitment stating family relationship

6. Any of the following supporting documents consistent with the applicant's identity and reason for application

Special reminder:

1. Relatives refer to spouse,parents, children, children’s spouses, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren

2. The submitted family relationship certificate, if issued by an overseas institution, must be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad

3. The first application must be present in person. If the original residence permit is renewed within 3 months after it expires, the Physical Examination Record can be exempted

I want to apply for: 3-6 months short-term visit to relatives (Q2 visa)

1. Original valid passport

2. Original copy of temporary accommodation registration form for overseas personnel

3. Original copy of proof of relationship

4. Original letter of commitment stating family relationship

5. Evidence materials consistent with the purpose of the application

Special reminder:

1. Relatives refer to spouse, (in-law) parents, children, children’s spouses, siblings, (outside) grandparents, (outside) grandchildren

2. The submitted family relationship certificate, if issued by an overseas institution, must be authenticated by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad

S VISA

Visas issued to accompanying family members of foreigners who are employed or employed in China

S1 VISA

Spouses, parents, children under the age of 18, parents-in-law of foreigners residing in China for work, study, etc. who go to China for a long term (the visa period is generally more than 180 days, and a medical examination is required), as well as other personal affairs Persons who need to reside in China

S2 VISA

Family members (spouse, parents, children, children's spouses, siblings, grandparents, grandparents, grandchildren, grandchildren, and spouse’s parents) and those who need to stay in China for other personal matters

S Visa: Residence Permit for Private Affairs

The residence permit corresponding to the S visa is the residence permit for private affairs. Spouses, parents, children under the age of 18, parents-in-law of foreigners residing in China for work, study, etc. who are going to China for a long time (the visa period is generally more than 180 days, and a medical examination is required), as well as other private Persons whose affairs require residence in China.

1. Valid original passports of family members

2. Original copy of temporary accommodation registration form for overseas personnel of family members

3. The original Physical Examination Record issued by the entry-exit inspection and quarantine department of the family member

4. Copies of the employed person's passport and residence permit

5. Application letter issued by the employer

6. Relevant documents of the employer company

7. Proof of family relationship

Special reminder:

1. Family members refer to the spouse, parents, children, parents-in-law of the employed person

2. If the applicant enters the country with an S1 visa, the family relationship certificate does not need to be certified, and the original copy is required.

3. The first application must be present in person. If the original residence permit is renewed within 3 months after it expires, the Physical Examination Record can be exempted

Short-term visit by family members of foreigners who come to work in China
3-6 months short-term visit to relatives (S2 visa)

1. Valid original passports of family members

2. Original copy of temporary accommodation registration form for overseas personnel of family members

3. Two recent 2-inch half-body frontal bareheaded photos of family members

4. Original passport of the employed person

5. The original application letter issued by the employer's company

6. A copy of the employer's business license and organization code certificate

7. Original proof of family relationship

Special reminder:

1. Family members refer to the employer’s spouse, (in-law) parents, children, children’s spouses, siblings, (outside) grandparents, (outside) grandchildren

2. If the family relationship certificate is issued overseas, it must be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad (valid within 6 months); or certified by the local consulate of its own country (valid within 6 months)
